I had the pleasure of attending the co-headlining tour of Black Veil Brides and Ville Valo at The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC, with support from Dark Divine. The venue was packed with eager fans, all ready to experience a night filled with hard rock and metal music.
Dark Divine opened the show with an energetic set that got the crowd pumped up for the rest of the night. They brought a unique blend of metalcore and post-hardcore sounds to the stage, and their energy was contagious. The lead vocalist’s screams were piercing and raw, and the guitar riffs were electrifying. The crowd was definitely impressed, and they received a well-deserved ovation at the end of their set.
Next up was Ville Valo, and the excitement in the room was palpable. The Finnish singer, best known as the lead vocalist of H.I.M, brought his solo project to the stage. Ville’s voice was as hauntingly beautiful as ever, and his band, consisting of talented musicians, added an extra layer of depth to his songs. They played a mix of his solo work and H.I.M classics, including “Join Me in Death” and “Wings of a Butterfly.” Ville and his bandmates had great chemistry on stage and put on a captivating performance.
Finally, it was time for Black Veil Brides to take the stage, and the crowd erupted into cheers. The band’s theatrical entrance set the tone for the night, and they launched into their set with high energy. The lead vocalist, Andy Biersack, had the audience in the palm of his hand from the first note, and his stage presence was impressive. The band played a mix of old and new songs, and the crowd sang along to every word. The guitar solos were mind-blowing, and the drumming was thunderous. The highlight of the night was the band’s performance of their hit song “In The End,” which had everyone singing at the top of their lungs.
Overall, the Black Veil Brides and Ville Valo co-headlining tour with support from Dark Divine was a night to remember. The House of Blues was the perfect venue for this intense and dynamic show, and all three acts brought their A-game. The energy was high, the music was loud, and the atmosphere was electric. If you ever get the chance to see any of these bands live, I highly recommend it.
