A straight downpour of rain did not deter fans from attending the sold out show by psychedelic rockers, Tame Impala with Fascinator in support, Monday June 17 at the “Tabby” in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

Fascinator opened the show with an art house, avant-garde sensibility as the electronic spliced duo took the stage with masks draped over their faces, while wearing dynamic house dresses as they performed in ethereal bliss as the eerie light wrapped around them.
A little quirky, but thoroughly enjoyable in a mellow transcendental state as one half of the duo provides electronic beats and the other uses a variety of different guitars to create an ethereal state of mind that eclipsed the once hollow halls of the “Tabby.”

Tame Impala took the stage covered in darkness that latest throughout the majority of their set, as the low lighting added a level to the trippy, space rock that they performed. It was as if the band didn’t matter at all, it was all about creating the mystifying and psychedelic music that pumped through the amps in large quantities.

Fans absorbed every note as all three levels of the Tabernacle shook with dancing fans as Tame Impala performed a 19 song set that included “Led Zeppelin,” “Solitude Is Bliss,” “Jam,” “Endors Toi,” “It Is Not Meant to Be,” “Apocalypse Dreams,” “Music to Walk Home By,” “Elephant,” “Be Above It,” “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards,” “Auto-Prog,” “Keep on Lying,” “Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind?,” “Oscilly,” “Mind Mischief,” “Alter Ego” and ended their regular set with “Half Full Glass of Wine.” For the encore, Tame Impala performed “Auto-Prog mk. II” and “Nothing that Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could Control.”
