Sips and Songs is the vineyard’s signature monthly event of music and wine under the gazebo. Below are highlights from the July 5 event.
Sharp Mountain Vineyards is located in Jasper and is just an hour north of Atlanta.Pinot Gris grapes are thriving thanks to the bright Georgia sun.Ron and Jody Rathgeb are enjoying a glass wine and their recently-inherited 1957 Ford Thunderbird. What a beauty!In about two weeks the Merlot grapes will begin to turn purple.This sign says it all.The Rathgebs prepare burgers and hot dogs for the arriving guests.Award-winning vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Paul Douglas Sanner graced us with an afternoon of tunes.It looks like yours truly needs a refill.In addition to music under the gazebo, some guests sipped wine in the tasting room.

Friends enjoyed a photo op with the 1957 Ford Thunderbird.The gazebo was filled with friends, food, sips and songs.Vintage meets vintage.Chardonnay under the shady leaves.My glass is no longer empty … cheers!
