Saturday, July 27, hair metal experts Skid Row will entertain eager fans with their latest and first EP in many years, United World Rebellion, at Wild Bills. Rather than one huge release the band will be teasing and tantalizing fans with three releases scheduled over an 18-month period. Throw on your favorite rock shirt and hair product, get yourself to Wild Bills on Saturday and come say, “Hi” to the crazy chick with a camera.

Skid Row, the first “hard rock/heavy metal” band to debut at #1 on the Billboard album chart, returns to Gwinnett’s Wild Bill’s, 2075 Market Street, on Sat., July 27. Skid Row has been a staple of the Wild Bill’s Summer Rock Series the last few years running, but this year, the band visits Wild Bill’s in support of their new record United World Rebellion – Chapter One. General admission tickets cost $20 in advance and $25-$30 at the door; tickets for a seat at a table of four cost $30 each; and tickets for side stage mezzanine seats cost $60 each.

United World Rebellion – Chapter One, Skid Row’s first recorded material since 2006’s Revolutions Per Minute, serves as the first installment of a three-part effort. New plans to conquer the world came together in an Atlanta recording studio. But it’s a different time, a different industry, so they decided to record a series of EPs.
“The idea really appealed to me,” says bassist Rachel Bolan, “especially with the constantly changing musical climate. I like the idea of a steady flow of new music, as opposed to releasing a full-length album then riding it for the next two years.”
Singer Johnny Solinger says, “The third time in the studio as the voice of Skid Row was the proverbial charm, and the proof is in the tracks. United World Rebellion – Chapter One is the most meaningful work I’ve done with the band. It’s definitely the most I’ve been challenged, vocally.” He continues, “The message in these songs was delivered on-target by each of us. I approached it with every ounce of emotion I could conjure up, and I cannot wait to unleash it live on stage.”
Tom Siliven, general manager of Wild Bill’s, says, “Not only is this the first time Skid Row will play here in support of United World Rebellion, it’s also the first time they will play at Wild Bill’s since we installed our new Bose speaker system. Our club has experienced major renovations and upgrades this year, and one of the most significant changes is our new sound system. Audiences will be blown away by the Bose Experience at Wild Bill’s, while listening to new Skid Row songs!”
And according to Bolan, there will be several new tunes played at the show, as well as classic material, including all of the hits fans have come to expect to hear live, like “18 & Life,” “I Remember You” and “Youth Gone Wild.” He says the set should last about 90 minutes, and it might even include a surprise or two.
The doors at Wild Bill’s open at 7:30 p.m., the concert begins around 9:30 p.m., and the dance party will continue after the concerts until 2:30 a.m. Wild Bill’s boasts plenty of available free parking, and “close-in” VIP parking, which costs $5 per car.  All shows are 18 and up.  For advanced tickets, visit www.ticketmaster.com.
